About Us & FAQ
Welcome to SpecialitySeeds, an independent seed company created by gardeners for gardeners. We believe that everyone should be able to grow their own food, whether it is a small collection of herbs on a balcony or a full vegetable garden. Our mission is to provide high-quality, open-pollinated seeds in practical pack sizes that help reduce waste and support sustainable growing.
Many seed packets on the market contain thousands of seeds, far more than most home growers will ever use. We saw the problem of seed waste and decided to change it. At SpecialitySeeds, every pack is filled with just the right amount for home or small-scale growers, allowing you to experiment with more varieties without overspending or wasting unused seed.
All of our seeds are carefully packed, labeled, and tested for germination. We specialise in chili peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and heirloom vegetables that perform well in both pots and garden beds. Whether you are a beginner gardener or an experienced grower, our aim is to make seed selection easy, reliable, and rewarding.
How many seeds are in each pack?
Quantities vary depending on the variety. Specialty types such as super-hot chilies or heirloom tomatoes are normally packed in 10-seed lots for precision planting. Some of our tomato varieties are supplied by weight, usually around 0.1 grams per pack. The specific seed count or weight for every variety is shown clearly in each product description.
Where are we located?
Our main farm and packing site are based in the Malaga region of Andalusia, Spain. The warm climate is ideal for growing high-quality chili and tomato seed stock. Around 90 percent of our European and international orders are processed and shipped from Spain. We also operate a small distribution center in the United Kingdom to handle UK orders efficiently and ensure quick delivery times.
Do we grow all our own seeds?
We produce the majority of our own seeds under Mediterranean growing conditions, ensuring freshness and consistent quality. To expand our range and maintain genetic diversity, we also work closely with a network of trusted EU seed suppliers. Every batch is tested regularly to confirm high germination rates and true-to-type plant growth.
Our Commitment
SpecialitySeeds is committed to transparency, sustainability, and quality. We only sell seeds that we would be proud to grow ourselves. By offering smaller packs, accurate labeling, and fast worldwide shipping, we make it easier for home gardeners to explore new varieties and enjoy successful harvests season after season.
